Summary
Super Thunder Blade is a shooting game developed for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis console and published by Sega. It was one of three titles released alongside the console's launch in Japan, joining Space Harrier II and Altered Beast, and also one of six games featured at the console's debut in the United States. The game serves as a sequel to the 1987 arcade title Thunder Blade. It became available on the Virtual Console on September 17, 2007. Additionally, it was featured in the Sega Genesis Collection for PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable in 2007, as well as in Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
