Summary

It's been a long vigil... as the sun sinks below the horizon, the unwelcoming gray desolation of Colian comes into view. After the scorching heat of the day, the arrival of night brings the biting cold of sub-zero temperatures to an already unforgiving landscape, and the stark interior of the D.S.V. feels almost like a refuge. A deep sense of sorrow is abruptly shattered by the piercing wail of a siren. The information displays have gone wild, a chaotic array of lights flashing without control. Good grief... what is going on?
