Summary
The Chessmaster is a game that allows players to challenge the CPU-controlled Chessmaster in a traditional game of chess.
To play, the player uses the hand cursor to pick up and move chess pieces to their desired positions, following the standard rules of chess. The game offers 16 difficulty levels, including 2 beginner levels, 13 standard levels (with move times ranging from an average of 5 seconds to 4.5 minutes, depending on the level), and an infinite level that will continue calculating until it finds the best possible move or is forced to make one. A teaching mode is also available, showing all possible moves for the selected piece. The game supports two-player mode using two controllers, and there is an option to let the Chessmaster play against itself.
