Summary

It's the year 2015, and the most powerful organization on Earth, a corporation known as Deutschland Moldavia, is attempting to dominate the globe by genetically altering humans into obedient slaves or monstrous beings. The Peace Keepers is a side-scrolling beat 'em up game reminiscent of titles in the Final Fight series. Players can choose from four characters (with two additional fighters unlocking later in the game), each with unique abilities and drawbacks. In addition to standard attack combinations, jump, run, and throw moves, all characters can block, execute heavy strikes, and unleash special attacks that drain energy. They can also perform powerful super attacks that hit all enemies on screen, though these can only be used twice per life. If a character is hit repeatedly, they may enter an "angry-mode" state, during which they become invincible and significantly stronger. Most stages feature multiple routes and exits, and after each level, players can switch to a different character. This allows for varied playthroughs, with levels that can be completed in different sequences. It's not necessary to complete every level to reach one of the game's multiple endings.
