Storyline

Treasure seeker Nathan "Nate" Drake (Nolan North), joined by journalist Elena Fisher (Emily Rose), retrieves the coffin of his self-styled ancestor Sir Francis Drake, guided by coordinates etched onto a family heirloom: a ring Nate wears. Inside the coffin is Sir Francis Drake's journal, revealing the location of El Dorado. Pirates ambush and sink Nate's vessel, but his friend and mentor Victor "Sully" Sullivan (Richard McGonagle) saves the pair in his seaplane. Concerned that Elena's report might draw unwanted competition, Nate and Sully leave her behind at a pier. Guided by the journal, Nate and Sully locate a niche that once housed a massive statue, realizing that El Dorado is actually a golden idol. They uncover a Nazi U-boat containing a page from Drake's journal that reveals the statue was transported to an island. However, mercenaries under the command of criminal Gabriel Roman (Simon Templeman) and his second-in-command Atoq Navarro (Robin Atkin Downes) intercept Nate and Sully. Sully appears to be fatally wounded, but Nate escapes, reunites with Elena, and flies with her to the island. During the flight, anti-aircraft fire forces Elena and Nate to parachute out, separating them. After gathering supplies from the downed seaplane, Nate makes his way to an old fort to locate Elena. Briefly captured by pirates led by former associate Eddy Raja (James Sie), Elena rescues Nate and they escape to the island's old customs building. After discovering records that show the statue was moved deeper inland, they find Sully is alive and has been taken with Roman and Raja. Nate and Elena locate and free Sully, who survived the gunshot thanks to Drake's journal absorbing the bullet, and he explains he was feeding Roman false information to buy Nate time.
