In *Urban Chaos: Riot Response*, you take on the role of Nick Mason, a member of a cutting-edge anti-terrorist unit called T-Zero. Your city has been ravaged by terrorists and violent gangs, and it's up to you to restore peace by eliminating these threats and bringing stability back to the streets. Your adversaries are heavily armed—often wielding meat cleavers, molotovs, and sawed-off shotguns—so you're given a riot shield that activates when you hold the left trigger. This shield can block an endless amount of incoming fire, though it prevents you from shooting while in use. You can also call in firefighters to douse blazes and medics to heal your injuries. You can enhance your arsenal by earning medals throughout your missions. These can be obtained by landing headshots, using your taser to subdue rather than kill enemies, and collecting gang masks, among other actions. Additionally, capturing gang leaders at the end of each level unlocks new missions and weapons, allowing the police to interrogate them and uncover the gang's future plans.
Set in a near-future world, Urban Chaos: Riot Response chronicles a year in the life of Nick Mason, who returns from military duty to discover his hometown torn apart by gang violence. He is swiftly recruited into the G18 Counter Gang Division, a newly established elite unit given extraordinary emergency authority over all other city services and charged with restoring order and protecting citizens at all costs. With direct command over Paramedics, Police, and the Fire Department, you must collaborate to protect lives, preserve property, and reclaim your city. A groundbreaking, voice-activated command system allows you to issue orders for protection and tactical support in the battle for survival.
