Summary

After years of brutal conflict with the merciless Romn armies, the kingdom of Altago is slowly restoring itself under a fragile peace. The legendary duo, Adol and Dogi, land in the bustling harbor of Altago City, only to be thrust into a confrontation with the Dragon Knights—the kingdom’s elite military police—when they attempt to rescue a local girl from the harassment of one of their high-ranking officers. Enraged by the disruption and the resulting embarrassment, the commander arrests the two adventurers, falsely accusing them of espionage. However, the king of Altago, who had been forewarned of their arrival by a trusted old friend, swiftly intervenes, freeing Adol and Dogi from their unjust imprisonment and calling them to his private chambers. There, he reveals the discovery of an ancient shrine unearthed by a recent earthquake and requests their assistance in uncovering its secrets. Without hesitation, the duo agrees, unaware that their journey will lead them to confront ancient, long-dormant forces threatening the kingdom and to reunite the divided five tribes sworn to the Five Great Dragons—divine protectors who may be the only hope for the world’s survival. Ys Seven marks the latest chapter in the long-running Ys series, which first launched on PC in 1987. This is the first title in the franchise specifically designed for the PSP system, fully utilizing its widescreen display and advanced hardware. Featuring a dynamic battle system with a three-member party engaging enemies in real-time on open field maps, the game delivers fast-paced action. Both longtime series fans and newcomers will be drawn into the rich, colorful world, offering over 30 hours of immersive gameplay.
