Chronicle: RuneScape Legends was a turn-based strategy card game developed by Jagex Games Studio, set within the world of the MMORPG RuneScape. The game featured a distinctive format and setting. Players, from within a magical book, used their card decks to craft a quest for their legend. As they advanced through the quest, legends earned gold by battling enemy cards, which could then be spent to strengthen their characters. Opposing players also created their own quests and had the chance to steal gold or weapons. Ultimately, players faced off in direct combat, with the winner being the last one remaining. It was a multiplayer title that was intended to integrate with RuneScape by allowing players to unlock new cards. The beta launched on November 25, 2015, and the full version was released on Steam on May 26, 2016. On May 8, 2018, it was revealed that the game would be shut down due to "multiple technical issues" and a declining player population. The game's servers continued to operate until August 6.
