In D-bug, players take on the role of Charlie Fix-it, a computer repair expert who resides within a computer system. The game blends two unique gameplay styles: a strategic board game known as Gotcha! where players compete with the computer to capture their own pieces—butterflies or sailboats—and a computer repair simulation that activates when system errors arise. During these repair sequences, players must identify issues by analyzing symptoms, move through computer components, and replace faulty parts. As successful repairs are made, the game gradually introduces more advanced technical challenges, teaching kids fundamental computer troubleshooting skills through interactive gameplay.
