Summary

Taking place in a wild, alternate future version of Hong Kong, *Fear Effect 2: Retro Helix* serves as the prequel to the survival-horror sensation *Fear Effect*. You take control of one of four lethal mercenaries on a mission to rescue the kidnapped daughter of a high-ranking Chinese executive. The story kicks off with Hana, Glas, and Deke—the three main characters from the first game—meeting for the first time. Shortly after, they're joined by Rain, a close companion of Hana. Hana, Glas, and Deke each embark on individual quests to recover three key items, but it doesn't take long before they realize they're all entangled in the same dangerous conspiracy. The adventure leads the group through Hong Kong, Hell's Kitchen in New York City, the ancient walled city of Xi'an, the hidden tomb of China's first emperor, and ultimately to the legendary mountain island of the immortals, Penglai Shan. And then, just after lunch, the real chaos begins!
