Summary
This officially licensed F1 title features all the authentic tracks, sponsors, drivers, and cars from the FIA Formula One World Championship. The 2004 update brings the most recent team updates, current driver lineups, and the newly added Bahrain and China circuits. Online multiplayer makes its debut, while the singleplayer experience has been enhanced with time attack challenges against ghost cars and the option to unlock historic vehicles by completing an entire championship. A new career mode is also included, where you begin at the bottom of the grid and must prove your worth to sponsors and team managers to secure a position on a team. Achieving success leads to big contracts, while poor performance could result in being let go. The game offers four difficulty settings, and players can race under their own name, appearing on the starting grid as themselves.
