NHL 10 is part of the NHL video game franchise, developed by EA Canada and published by EA Sports, marking the 19th installment in the series. The game was first introduced at Hockey Fest '09, a three-day interactive event in downtown Los Angeles from August 28 to 30 that celebrated hockey and the Los Angeles Kings.[1] The game's slogan is "Good Old Hockey," and its TV commercials featured Stompin' Tom Connors' classic "The Hockey Song" (also referred to as "The Good Old Hockey Game"). It is the first NHL game from EA Sports to exclude a PC version and the first since NHL 2001 to not be released on the PlayStation 2. Online services for NHL 10 were officially shut down on October 1, 2011.[2]
