High-octane third-person combat unfolds across the war-torn battlefields of Nu Earth—a ravaged world poisoned by conflict, where the Norts and Southers clash in an unending, desperate war. A hopeless fight on a deadly world with no end in sight! Yet legends speak of a solitary warrior. A figure who emerges from nowhere to eliminate entire squads before vanishing once more into the darkness he calls home. A soldier bound by no loyalty, driven only by purpose and a thirst for vengeance. He is the ultimate fighting machine, the last of the Genetic Infantrymen who survived the惨e massacre... ...Rogue Trooper!
The narrative takes place on the planet Nu-Earth, trapped in the gravitational pull of two suns and a black hole (used by the Southers to access their orbiting command station), where an endless conflict rages between the Norts and the Southers, resulting in the deaths of millions. Throughout the war, both sides have employed every kind of chemical and biological warfare, contaminating the world, forcing soldiers from both factions to reside in sealed cities and only leave in protective gear known as a "bio-suit." The Southers, through the work of geneticists dubbed "gene genies," have created a new breed of warriors immune to the planet's lethal environment—these are the Genetic Infantry. All G.I.s are resistant to every toxin, disease, and acid (with one exception). The Southern High Command unleashes their hidden force in a massive airborne operation, but a traitor has revealed the existence of the G.I.s to the Norts, leading to their slaughter during the assault. This event becomes known as the Quartz Zone Massacre. Rogue, seemingly the sole surviving G.I. (until he encounters Venus Bluegenes), deserts his post to hunt down the traitorous general and seek vengeance for his fallen comrades. On his journey, he foils multiple Nort plots and eliminates some of the Norts' most powerful figures, including Grand Admiral Hoffa and Sergeant-Kaptain Natashov. Every G.I. is equipped with a biochip implanted in the skull, storing their personality, memories, and consciousness. When a G.I. perishes, their biochip can be transferred into a slot on another G.I.'s weapon or gear, allowing the deceased to control it. Later, the biochip can be placed into a new body, enabling the fallen G.I. to be reborn. One memorable line is: "We're genetic infantry—even when we're dead, we don't escape the war."
