Star Wars: DroidWorks is a 1998 educational computer game and the first release from LucasArts' division Lucas Learning. It shares its engine with LucasArts' earlier title, Star Wars: Jedi Knight. The developers sought to craft a game that would be engaging yet free of violence. The original launch date was brought forward by several months, leading to the removal of some intended features during development. In the game, players rescue the galaxy by building droids with specialized skills, such as night vision or the ability to leap, to accomplish various missions. These missions include educational elements that teach players about topics like energy, force, motion, basic machines, light, and magnetism. Star Wars: DroidWorks was highly acclaimed by reviewers, achieved strong sales, and earned a variety of awards and honors.
