Street Fighter IV: Arena is a mobile combat game inspired by the Street Fighter IV series. It adds character progression and social gaming elements to the formula. The game was available exclusively in Korea.
Street Fighter IV is set several months after the events of Street Fighter II. Following Seth’s escape, the S.I.N. corporation launched a new fighting tournament aimed at luring the planet’s most formidable warriors to aid in the completion of the BLECE project. Each fighter enters for their own reasons, but S.I.N.’s true objective is to attract Ryu, in hopes of studying the Satsui no Hado, which they believe is the final key to finishing BLECE. The tournament is publicly hosted by S.I.N., seemingly using preliminary rounds and a scoring system to determine eligibility—evident from the exchange between Seth and his subordinate about how Dan Hibiki barely earned enough points to qualify. It appears that the only competitors in the tournament are the playable characters in Street Fighter IV, excluding Seth.
