Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Patriots was a canceled first-person shooter video game from the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six series, revealed on the cover of the December 2011 edition of Game Informer. The game was set to be published by Ubisoft and developed by its Montreal studio, with support from Ubisoft Toronto and Ubisoft Red Storm. Following Tom Clancy's passing in October 2013, there were concerns that this would be the final game to carry his name. Ubisoft later confirmed that they would continue using Tom Clancy's name on future titles as a tribute to the late author. Patriots was ultimately canceled in 2014, just three years after its initial announcement. In its place, Ubisoft began working on a new Rainbow Six title called Siege.
