WildSnake is a puzzle game where players must control falling snakes within a limited area, preventing them from reaching the top. The snakes descend and move until they settle on the floor of the space. If a snake makes contact with another of the same color and pattern using its head, it will destroy the other, often causing a chain reaction that shifts the entire pile, possibly leading to the elimination of even more snakes. The game features a variety of backgrounds such as desert, forest, water, and grass. It also includes seven different grid layouts: the standard tall rectangle, X, plus, flask, Diabolo (hourglass shape), T-square, and obstacle (which contains fixed blocks in the middle). Players begin as a hatchling and progress through titles inspired by the snake world (garter snake, water snake, boa, mambo, python, king cobra, etc.) as they clear more snakes. As the game advances, players must manage an increasing variety of snake patterns. Occasionally, a flashing red snake appears, destroying the first snake it touches, and an unstoppable snake may also appear, rushing downward and clearing all snakes in its path. WildSnake supports 1 or 2 players and offers easy, normal, and hard difficulty settings. In single-player mode, the player can choose whether to see a preview of the next incoming snake. In two-player mode, a preview is always visible, and there is a shared queue of three snakes between the two player grids. During competitive play, when a player clears multiple snakes at once, obstacles are sent to the opponent's playing area as a penalty.
