You take control of Gilbert (a most unusual situation—better make the most of it!). He can walk, jump, float, and swim through the world of Drill, defending himself from the strange and bizarre creatures that come his way by "snotting" them (YUK!).
Gilbert is feeling rather chuffed with himself. A splendid summer spent zipping across the Earth has left him feeling like a bona fide Super Hero. Unfortunately, the rest of the Drillians aren't quite as thrilled. In fact, they're green (and rather slimy) with jealousy. Talk, talk, talk. Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit. Will Gilbert never stop going on about his Earth adventures? Fortunately, even Gilbert needs to catch his breath. Just as things are returning to normal, a telly-gram (!) arrives from Earth, inviting Gilbert to return for a new series. That's the last straw. The Drillians can't take it anymore. They decide the only way to avoid another winter of Gilbert's endless bragging is to stop him from reaching the Tune Tees Television Studios and signing his contract. The Millenium Dustbin has several crucial parts removed—well, wouldn't you consider the toilet rather important?—and scattered across the planet of Drill. The Drillians keep their silence tight (though it's no easy feat with mouths as big as Gilbert's!), but being good sports, they offer him a chance to find clues to the missing pieces. All Drillians love a good video game, so they decide that if Gilbert can beat them at their favorite arcade game, they'll hand over a clue. It all sounds simple enough for a brainbox as big as Gilbert's—until he realizes he only has 24 hours to reach Earth, or the contract will go to another "Superstar."
