Sneak into the dam and dismantle the operation; pursue Ourumov in a tank through the cityscape of St. Petersburg; and uncover the mysteries of the hidden jungle base. The remade title boasts high-definition visuals thanks to a brand-new game engine, introduces an achievement system, adds a new Mi6 Ops mission mode, and supports PlayStation Move for the PS3 edition. Activision also launched GoldenEye 007: Reloaded – Double 'O' Edition, which includes the downloadable character Hugo Drax, a PlayStation Move motion controller, navigation controller, PlayStation Eye camera, and Sharp Shooter accessory alongside the game.
Set between *Quantum of Solace* and *Skyfall*, MI6 agents James Bond and Alec Trevelyan are ordered by M to infiltrate a chemical weapons site in Arkhangelsk, Russia, suspected of supplying a terrorist group targeting British embassies worldwide. The operation turns disastrous when Trevelyan is wounded by General Ourumov. Bond manages to escape by triggering explosives he'd strategically placed around the site and flees Arkhangelsk by plane. Later, an intercepted phone call links Ourumov to Russian mobster Valentin Zukovsky, who is trying to obtain a helicopter modified to withstand an electromagnetic pulse. Zukovsky directs Ourumov to an arms bazaar in Dubai, but fails to prevent Onatopp and Ourumov from stealing the aircraft. However, Zukovsky manages to place his smartphone on board, allowing MI6 to track the helicopter to a secluded base in Siberia. Bond fails to stop the theft of the GoldenEye satellite, which Ourumov detonates. He does manage to rescue Natalya Simonova before being captured by the Russian military. Accusing Bond and Simonova of causing the GoldenEye explosion, Russian Defense Minister Dmitri Mishkin interrogates them in Saint Petersburg, but is killed by Ourumov, who then takes Natalya hostage. Bond chases him onto a train and confronts him about his plan for the GoldenEye satellite. Onatopp betrays Ourumov and kills him. Bond helps Natalya off the train and attends a meeting at Statue Park, where he learns Trevelyan survived his execution by Ourumov and is now known as Janus, the architect behind the GoldenEye heist. Natalya is key to his scheme. Bond infiltrates a solar plant in northwestern Nigeria and tricks Trevelyan into destroying his supercomputers, halting his plan to use the satellite to obliterate London and cover up financial crimes. After a fight, Bond overloads the facility's control room and shoots Trevelyan, sending him plummeting from the tower. Simonova and Bond escape by helicopter, sharing a kiss as the mission concludes.
