An expressive game centers on immersing players in the psychological, social, and cultural struggles of others, confronting them with the moral and ethical challenges that arise. Keys of a Gamespace aligns with this perspective on video games, drawing from Sébastien Genvo’s research on game design and the expressive capabilities of the medium. Much like cinema or comics, video games are a powerful form of storytelling and artistic expression. They are capable of addressing profound and complex themes. For our project, we drew inspiration from works such as Mystic River, EraserHead, and Twin Peaks—films that explore deep emotional and existential issues—alongside comics like A Distant Neighborhood, Black Hole, and American Splendor.
Put yourself in Sébastien's position when his Princess issues an ultimatum: will he finally commit to starting a family, or will she walk away? Explore his memories to uncover the hidden truth behind his indecision...
