Bounty Sword is a strategy RPG for the Super Famicom that blends real-time and turn-based gameplay. The player controls the battlefield by issuing commands to their units, who otherwise automatically advance toward enemies and attack. The game allows players to pause the action at any moment to direct special abilities, giving them strategic control over key moments. Between battles, players can manage their team in the camp menu, adjusting gear and setting AI behaviors such as self-healing at specific health levels. Developed by Imaginative Technology Land, Bounty Sword was released in Japan by Pioneer LDC on September 8, 1995. It was later expanded with two PlayStation titles: a 1997 remake titled Bounty Sword First and a 1998 sequel called Bounty Sword: Double Edge.
