Gravity Bone is a free first-person adventure game created by Brendon Chung through his company, Blendo Games, and launched in August 2008. The title uses a modified version of id Software's id Tech 2 engine, originally designed for Quake 2, and features music from Wong Kar-wai's films, originally performed by Xavier Cugat. Over the course of its one-year development, four versions of the game were made. The initial build included more typical first-person shooter elements than the final release, while later iterations took a different approach by incorporating more espionage-style gameplay. Gravity Bone was widely praised by game critics. Charles Onyett of IGN described it as "a pleasure to experience," and it was often compared to titles like Team Fortress 2 and Portal. Reviewers highlighted its compelling narrative, immersive atmosphere, and its ability to captivate players quickly without feeling abrupt or unfinished. The game earned the "Best Arthouse Game" honor at Game Tunnel's 2008 Special Awards. A follow-up, Thirty Flights of Loving, came out in 2012.
