Painkiller: Resurrection

Summary

The core gameplay remains consistent with the original Painkiller, where players battle through hordes of enemies and progress through various locations. Every weapon offers an alternate firing mode. Although most enemies and all the original weapons are included, the game introduces new gameplay features not found in the original or its previous expansions.

Storyline

William "Wild Bill" Sherman, a former CIA agent and expert in high-risk operations for the Black Ops Special Unit, is facing a dire situation: during his most recent mission, he not only eliminated the leader of an underground drug empire and numerous innocent bystanders, but he also accidentally caused his own death in a tragic error. Stranded in a treacherous realm caught between heaven and hell, his soul teeters among countless faceless souls, as forces of good and evil begin to manipulate Wild Bill for their own purposes. But things aren't as they first appear—unravel the mystery and tip the balance between heaven and hell just a little!
